The above link is to a video by Bloomberg that talks about how Glass has the potential to create a massive digital divide. Glass already doesn’t have many people keen to try the new technology with 72% of Americans not on board with Glass, as I’ve talked about previously in my blog. As we know the westerner world already has a digital divide with people from around the world due to many different reasons such as poverty, government laws, connectivity and location. If there was to be a divide in the western world it could possibly start with Google Glass. As is mentioned in the above video there will be a number of people that will get on board with glass straight away and people that don’t want a visual display constantly in front of their eyes.
